In this senior role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping and delivering high-impact performance insights that drive decision-making across the FCAS Programme. You will work closely with the Performance Lead, Programme Managers, and senior stakeholders to lead the development of optimised data flows, advanced analytics, and insightful reporting using tools such as PowerBI, JIRA, and SAP.

The Performance Team’s mission is to enhance Portfolio Performance reporting to enable data-driven decision-making and improve operational efficiency. In this role you will:

  • Lead the design, development, and optimisation of scalable data models, performance dashboards, and automated reporting solutions (e.g., Power BI, JIRA analytics), ensuring alignment with FCAS business and portfolio objectives.
  • Lead deep-dive analytical investigations (trend analysis, predictive indicators, scenario modelling) to proactively identify risks, cost pressures, schedule impacts and optimisation opportunities across FCAS programme.
  • Architect and manage data pipelines and integration workflows, sourcing, transforming, reconciling and validating data from enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle Primavera P6, SAP BusinessObjects), ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and governance compliance.
  • Develop and maintain robust data transformation processes (ETL/ELT) to enable reliable analytics across large, diverse and complex datasets.
  • Drive automation and continuous improvement in reporting and data management workflows, reducing manual effort and improving data reliability.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather data requirements, conduct user testing and deliver analytics solutions aligned to evolving business needs.
  • Mentor junior analysts and promote high standards in data analytics, modelling, and visualisation practices.

What you’ll bring:

  • Extensive experience in data analytics, reporting or business intelligence.
  • Proven track record in leading analytics initiatives, mentoring teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to influence decisions through clear, evidence-based insights.
  • Advanced expertise in: Power BI (Data modelling, DAX optimisation), SQL and Python.
  • Multi-source data integration and reconciliation.
  • Experience working with cloud-based data environments; exposure to Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Synapse) is desirable.
  • Strong capability in translating ambiguity into structured analytical frameworks.
  • Experience working in Agile environments such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Track record of working with cross-functional initiatives and developing high-performing analytical teams.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changing priorities.
