Your impact
Report to the Operations Manager and Project Engineering Manager for operational and engineering requirements. Responsible for proactive management of the engineering team’s activities ensuring the delivery of equipment, issues, opportunities & risks in accordance with quality, safety, security and airworthiness requirements. Managing and reporting of the engineering efficiency and improvements for projects and engineering function. Working with the BAEs counterpart to manage the Avionic Regional Centre (ARC) including facilities. Functional Line Manager for CMF. Responsible for performance reviews, careers, training & development activities. Assist with the Asset Manager and Logistics Planner to support the optimisation of planning and output. Primary Point of contact managing the CMF interfaces across all stakeholders both internal and external. Hold and maintain sufficient product knowledge to support final signature sign off across both RADAR and DASS products. Responsible for ensuring performance output meets the customers and project needs. Responsible for all aspects of maintaining and improving Airworthiness, Quality, Safety and Security requirements. Support the Project Engineering Manager to provide and deliver Design Reviews, WBS, Life Cycle management and reports. Hold Form 4 Responsibilities as Bay Manager for the Leonardo MAOS Pt145 approval. Identify and manage the introduction of change and new capability covering test equipment, tooling and personnel. Identification and reporting of risks and opportunities within the CMF, supporting the Project Mgt community in defining and implementing mitigation strategies and actions.
What you’ll bring
The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering with experience supporting maintenance and repairs activities of avionic systems and capability of being able to lead a team of engineers within a multi-functional partnered working environment. You will be highly customer focused with excellent communication skills and able to work in a fast-moving environment with multiply parallel activities and capable of making priority decisions. Ability to obtain and hold delegated authority within an airworthiness environment. This is not an exhaustive list, and we are keen to hear from you even if you might not have experience in all the above. The most important skill is a good attitude and willingness to learn.
Security Clearance
This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) will apply, this will include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC).
