The role will be based at our Edinburgh site with hybrid working patterns available. Our portfolio of customers is global, so regular overseas business travel could be required to support negotiations and key customer management meetings.
You will be required to:
- Lead the IPT to deliver repairs and support services to a multitude of customers, each with varying requirements.
- Lead the product strategy in conjunction with engineering and other functions to ensure appropriate investment for long-term sustainment.
- Manage and develop a team of project managers.

What you’ll bring
You should bring enthusiasm, with customers and our people at the heart of everything we do. The role requires a calming, decisive approach to overcome technical or commercial issues swiftly, helping the team navigate to solutions.
Experience leading engineering projects, preferably with a focus on production or manufacturing, and an understanding of the full product lifecycle are essential.
Experience managing complex global projects, ideally within the defence or engineering sectors, is highly desirable.
You will need to work with international customers, some of whom may not use English as their first or second language. Strong listening skills, social skills, and proficiency with online communication tools are necessary to ensure effective communication and build trust.
Creative problem-solving skills are important, especially in finding innovative commercial solutions to support customer needs.
You will also bring rigour and structure to repair processes, ensuring dependencies are tracked and demand is scheduled efficiently to maintain supply chain effectiveness.
This list is not exhaustive, and we encourage applications from candidates who may not meet all criteria. The most important qualities are a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Security Clearance
This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS).
