Job Description
The Opportunity
At Leonardo, we have a fantastic new opportunity for a Lab Management Team Lead.
This position will be based at the Leonardo Capability Green Luton site, within the Operations sector of the Electronic Warfare division. You will report to the Site Support Group Manager and be responsible for managing all onsite engineering and production laboratories, test facilities, equipment, calibration, and supporting staff.
What you’ll do as a Lab Management Team Lead
- Ensure the availability of all laboratory facilities at all times to support R&D and production activities.
- Maintain health and safety standards within the laboratories, including creating and updating safety procedures in collaboration with SHE and OH departments.
- Manage the Test Equipment Managed Services (TEMS) project, supporting the movement of equipment to calibration providers and coordinating with Test Equipment Coordinators.
- Allocate laboratory space efficiently to support various projects and ensure all necessary facilities are available.
- Support internal and external SHE audits.
- Manage onsite test systems engineers responsible for calibration, maintenance, and support of integrated test sites, test towers, and CCTE sites, ensuring maximum facility availability.
What We Need From You
- A good engineering background in mechanical and electrical disciplines; IOSH safety certification is advantageous but training can be provided.
- Ability to interact effectively with personnel at all levels on site.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
