Graduate Test Systems Engineer – 18 month Graduate Programme at Leonardo, Newcastle, United Kingdom.
Program Details
- Starting salary £34,000 per annum, £1,000 welcome bonus, £1,000 exit bonus.
- Hybrid working – Hybrid.
- Permanent contract.
- Onsite presence at least three days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain experience across the development lifecycle – requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, test.
- Engage in Test System disciplines: RF, Microwave, Antenna, FPGA, high‑speed digital engineering.
- Collaborate with Systems, Software, Mechanical engineers.
- Interface with customers and end users where opportunities arise.
- Develop practical hardware design skills for aerospace applications, using ECAD tools and test equipment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2:2 bachelor’s or integrated master’s degree, or MSc/PhD.
- Acceptable degree subjects: Electronics & Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Electronic & Software Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, Physics.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Security Clearance
This role requires pre‑employment screening under UK Government Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply – eligibility for Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
