As a Stores Team Member, you will be responsible for accurately picking, preparing and processing materials, components, and products for internal and external customers while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, housekeeping, and inventory accuracy. The role supports the efficient operation of the warehouse and contributes to achieving departmental performance targets.
No Experience is required as we have a robust training plan in place which will take you through all aspects of the role and what is expected at each stage.
Your main responsibilities as a Logistics Operative will involve:
- Picking and Packing
- Accurately pick stock, materials, and components from warehouse locations using pick lists, scanners, or warehouse management systems.
- Verify part numbers, quantities, serial numbers, and batch information before dispatch.
- Pack items securely and appropriately to prevent damage during transportation.
- Inventory Management
- Maintain stock accuracy by following inventory control procedures.
- Participate in cycle counts and stock checks as required.
- Report inventory discrepancies, damaged stock, or location issues promptly.
- Ensure stock is stored in the correct designated locations.
- Warehouse Operations
- Assist with goods receipt, unloading, and put-away activities when required.
- Operate warehouse equipment in accordance with training and authorisation.
- Maintain clean, organised, and safe working areas.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse.
