Leonardo's two-year Manufacturing Supply Chain Business Apprenticeship scheme provides a range of experiences through placements in business-related disciplines, working on real projects alongside specialists in the world of business. You will rotate around our material control teams gaining experience of the different work/projects specific to your department in Edinburgh. This vacancy offers positions in our manufacturing supply chain teams. During each placement, you will work within cutting-edge facilities, learning how various business areas operate and collaborate to support projects, liaising with customers and suppliers.
Key ResponsibilitiesWe seek individuals who understand the importance of meeting customer needs and business objectives, and who are ready to engage with a structured 2-year learning programme focused on continuous improvement and personal development. By the end of the programme, you will be a highly qualified member of the team contributing to world-leading projects. During the apprenticeship you will study with one of our academic partners to complete a Business Level 3 Apprenticeship through a combination of day release and workplace experience.
Year 1Rotational placements to gather real work evidence (e.g., reflective accounts) describing day-to-day tasks and the key business competencies demonstrated. You will gain practical skills and develop as a well-rounded business professional through on-the-job training.
Year 2Following initial placements, you will enter a final placement focusing on a particular discipline. This phase builds skills and knowledge to move into the assessment phase and complete your Apprenticeship. You will also work towards an SVQ in Business Management related to your on-site experience and an HNC in Business at Edinburgh College.
QualificationsWhat we are looking for: 2 Higher Grades (or equivalent) Mandatory (A-C) Mathematics OR English; AND Mandatory (A-C) Business subject (e.g., Business Studies, Project/Business Management, Finance, Accounts). Mandatory English and Maths Standard Grades (1-3) / National 5 (A-C).
SalaryThe starting salary for this role is £21,000.
Security ClearanceThis role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government's Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personnel Security Controls may apply (e.g., National Security Vetting, The Security Check, Developed Vetting).
