Your Impact
We are looking for a BOM controller to join our team in Edinburgh. Within this role, you will have the opportunity to use and develop your skills supporting and influencing the construct of assembly bills of material (BOM) within the company databases. You will be working within a close-knit, multi-talented small team at the forefront of engineering for aerospace and defence. The role may be a mixture of home based and onsite.
What you'll do as a BOM Controller:
- Maintenance of the assembly Bills of Material and Material Master Data within the company databases, ensuring readiness for production.
- Attendance at Change Review Boards to approve the validity of change documentation and the implementation of changes to the product.
- Reviewing change documentation to confirm compliance with the appropriate regulations for the change implementation.
- Relaying outcomes of Change Management to the relevant disciplines and Project Management.
It would be necessary to have advanced knowledge of Configuration & Change Management processes, as well as some experience of SAP ERP software and Product Data Management software. It would be advantageous to have a knowledge of mechanical assembly and a materials control background. On-the-Job training will be delivered working within the BoM team. You will receive additional formal training to augment this depending on the business needs. More importantly, is the desire and attitude to embed best practice into the business through process integrity.

Security Clearance
This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, this could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
