We currently have an opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our Finance team at our Leonardo site in Edinburgh. You will assist overhead cost control of the Edinburgh cost-base and complete various management reporting requirements. The role can accommodate custom working with a mixture of on-site to conduct functional review meetings and home working. This role is based in Edinburgh with limited requirement for travel to other UK sites.
What You’ll Do As An Assistant Management Accountant:
- Edinburgh Functional Overhead control and reporting
- Produce Consolidated site inputs including total cost base, overhead costs, hours utilisation, headcount, and capital expenditure
- Cost-base expenditure monitoring and reporting
- Direct and Indirect Hours efficiency through utilisation monitoring and reporting
- Cost base transaction reconciliation & support
- Input to Integrated Business plan for cost base and recoveries
- Produce consolidated annual budgets, monthly forecast and annual forecasts for the functions and projects, identifying major risks and opportunities
- Provide accurate and timely management information
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience in overhead accounting
- Be proficient in MS Excel and ideally (but not essentially) have experience in SAP
- Be self-motivated and driven to succeed
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Part or fully qualified (CIMA, ACCA desirable but not essential)
- Experience in Industry would be advantageous

This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, this could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
