Leonardo is looking to employ a Support Engineer to work within the Customer Support and Service Solutions (CS3) line of business as part of a multi-skilled Field Service Representative (FSR) team contractually located at RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire, England. The role will provide direct support to the UK Typhoon Force at RAF Coningsby with temporary working in the UK and overseas required to support Leonardo’s wider business needs.
You will support the UK’s fleet of Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft by:
- Being a Captor Radar and Praetorian DASS focal point for customers
- Understanding and managing operational priorities
- Ensuring, whenever possible, assets are kept ‘on wing’ to reduce the number of No Fault Founds (NFFs)
- Maintaining good working relationships with the UK MoD, BAE Systems, and other companies/agencies as required
- Maintaining individual and team currency by ensuring mandatory training, authorisations and deployability status (vaccinations, passports, visas, etc) are in-date
Additionally you will support the wider business by:
- Supporting trials and development work
- Supporting the Typhoon Part 145 off-aircraft environment
- Supporting the Typhoon Part M environment
- Supporting Leonardo back office functions
- Supporting non-UK Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft/customers in the UK and overseas
Specialist Captor Radar and Praetorian DASS training will be provided.
What You’ll Bring
It is essential that you have:
- A full UK driving licence (Category B)
- The ability to achieve UK SC security clearance
- The ability to work shifts (typically a week of day shift followed by week of back shift)
- Experience working with aircraft and/or in an aircraft maintenance environment
It is highly desirable that you have:
- Experience working within an airworthiness environment
- Experience of Captor Radar
- Experience of Praetorian DASS
- Eurofighter Typhoon on-aircraft experience
It is desirable that you have:
- Experience of Radar
- Experience of EWHNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent
- Experience working at offsite locations, i.e. remote from back office/main site support

This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) apply, this includes meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC).
