Your Impact

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Continuity Governance and Crisis Manager UK to join our team.

The Business Continuity Governance and Crisis Manager UK will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining an effective Business Continuity and Operational Resilience Framework for the Leonardo UK Business. You will manage the Business Continuity teams under your direct control and implement the Business Continuity Management System at all UK sites to preserve continuity during any disruptive event. Reporting to the Head of Business Security, as part of the Business Security Management Team, you will operate at all levels of the business to deliver functional and business requirements. The role is UK based and requires flexibility to regularly travel to all Leonardo UK locations to support BCMS delivery. Occasional home working will also be possible.

What you’ll do as a Business Continuity Governance and Crisis Manager UK:

  • Design, deliver, maintain and monitor an effective Business Continuity Management System to include Incident & Crisis Management, Business Continuity, Business Impact Analysis, Training and Exercising.
  • Design, develop and enhance policies, procedures, and strategies to strengthen business resilience, continuity options and risk mitigation in line with strategic objectives.
  • Support all UK sites in understanding their critical assets and infrastructure for risk awareness and escalation to respective site leads in a consistent format.
  • Work closely with all UK Site Business Continuity Managers/Representatives in the effective implementation and monitoring of the BCMS.
  • Play a lead role in establishing and developing the UK Crisis Management Committee.
  • Play a lead role in establishing and developing the LDOUK Business Continuity Working Group.
  • Design a training, testing, and exercising program to validate recovery strategies and scenario planning.
  • Collaborate with Digital Solutions function in preparing Disaster Recovery plan which compliments the wider BCMS.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and industry trends to keep strategies aligned and forward‑looking.
  • Produce regular reports and dashboards for senior management and board‑level self‑assessments to detail divisional/site performance against governance criteria.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships, communicating confidently to promote collaboration and embedding resilience awareness across the organisation.
  • Drive continuous improvement, incorporating lessons learned from incidents and validation activities.
  • Manage Business Continuity budget, third‑party suppliers and stakeholder relationships to ensure cost‑effective delivery of required services.
  • Act as an ambassador for Business Continuity.
  • Provide leadership, direction and development to all resources necessary for the effective and timely delivery of company requirements encompassing direct reports and broader business continuity resources under your remit.

What You'll Bring:

  • Knowledge and experience in the management and application of Business Continuity, Emergency Planning and Incident Management.
  • Risk Management experience.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience of leading and motivating teams.
  • An ability to manage and inspire diversely located team members to focus on common goals and timelines.
  • Experience of implementing policy and guidance.
  • Ability to engage and influence key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage internal and external issues to deliver the business outcomes.
  • Good planning and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken, and ability to communicate at a senior level.
