Management Accountant (Fixed Term) in Basildon

The Customer Support & Service Solutions Line of Business is looking for a Management Accountant to assist overhead cost control of the cost base and complete various management reporting requirements on a fixed term basis. The role also manages and is responsible for consolidating financial reports and ensuring reporting requirements are met by providing accurate, timely and relevant management information. The successful candidate will be based at the Basildon site with the opportunity for hybrid working up to 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

• CS3 LoB Functional Overhead control and reporting
• Produce CS3 LoB forecast for overheads and recoveries and liaise with local cost centre managers for overhead cost control
• Ensure a good understanding of the cost base for functions including actual, forecast, budget and risks & opportunities
• Ensure a good understanding of the headcount and labour utilisation drivers
• Ensure SAP is updated monthly for key cost area, including month end accruals and prepayments
• Cost base expenditure monitoring and reporting to influence improved financial performance in the business
• Direct and Indirect Hours efficiency through utilisation monitoring and reporting
• Cost base transaction reconciliation & support to improve robustness of cost control and delivery, ensuring compliance with relevant financial and business governance policies/processes
• Input to Integrated Business plan for cost base and recoveries
• Provide support to the production of high quality CS3 LoB management accounts and financial reporting packs
• Other ad hoc reporting as required

What You'll Bring

• Be fully qualified (CIMA, ACCA)
• Be proficient in MS Excel and ideally (but not essentially) have experience in SAP
• Be self-motivated, have a positive attitude and be driven to succeed
• Have excellent communication, influencing and organisation skills
• Experience in Industry would be advantageous

Security Clearance

This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, this could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
