Due to continued growth and development of C-UAS Software Systems, we have a requirement for a C-UAS Software Architect to join our Mission Systems C-UAS team - where a constantly developing product range needs to answer both current needs and track future customer aspirations. Leonardo’s C-UAS Systems are world leading solutions to an increasing worldwide threat and our teams work alongside international government agencies, helping to ensure National Security.

Reporting to the Head Of Engineering Projects, the C-UAS Software Architect activities will refine existing implementations but more importantly support and define the strategic direction and architectures to fulfil future challenges in the solution space. This shall range from SI Enterprise Architecture design, identification of software solutions & architectures, technical leadership in bids and external studies, scope of and participation in PV through to support to Capability Management for product portfolios.

You will have an extensive background in the development of complex software systems and have maintained a high awareness of software development technologies. Significant experience and knowledge of interfacing Software systems in order to achieve integrated capability and data sharing.

The ability to work alongside Solution Architects, providing expertise that helps shape overall System Architectures – and to develop white papers to shape and steer thinking within the stakeholder community. Experience using tools such as Visual Studio (C#/C++), DOORS, Cameo, Rhapsody and The Mathworks is desirable.

The role can be a hybrid in the office (3 days a week) with working from home as an option when on site work is not required.

Our Sensors and Protection teams are based primarily at our Basildon and Southampton centres and are developing software solutions using a wide range of tools and methods.
