We have a fantastic new opportunity for a Project Management Undergraduate (Industrial Placement Student) within the Project Management function. Joining the 12âmonth Industrial Placement Scheme is the opportunity to be part of the next generation of our business.
Our Industrial Placement Programme offers you the chance to spend a year with us, working on meaningful projects alongside subject matter experts, within multidisciplinary teams and across the product lifecycle. You'll receive a salary of ÂŁ25,000, with coaching and support from a dedicated team to help you achieve both your placement objectives and personal development goals.
It begins with a comprehensive induction programme, introducing you to the company, its culture, and your specific placement area. From day one, you will be immersed in a wide range of development opportunities, delivered across both virtual platforms and practical working environments. During your placement, we encourage you to spend at least four days each week on site to integrate with your team and maximise your learning experience.
Successful completion of an Industrial Placement with Leonardo may also lead to an offer on our Graduate Development Programme. As an Industrial Placement â Project Management, you will:
- Assist project managers in coordinating crossâfunctional teams to ensure successful progression through each phase of the programme, while monitoring schedule, cost, risk, and quality parameters.
- Contribute to the longâterm strategic development of various aircraft platforms, aligning technical roadmaps with business goals.
- Support the preparation of bids and proposals for future aircraft sales by providing project management input and commercial insight.
- Gain handsâon experience across multiple aircraft programme phases including design definition, procurement, build and flight test, and final delivery to the customer.
- Support contract execution and deliverables, ensuring timely and highâquality delivery of aircraft and associated services.
- Work within the Project Management Office to provide governance, reporting, and project control support.
- Assist with internal and external stakeholder engagement, including customers, suppliers, and crossâfunctional teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project.
- Participate in domestic and international site visits, offering a broader understanding of customer environments and operational requirements.
You may also have the opportunity to visit customer facilities both domestically and internationally, gaining firstâhand exposure to operational environments and strengthening customer relationships.
Entry Requirements
To apply, you'll need to be on track for achieving a 2:2 bachelor's degree or above in an Engineering Management, Economics or Businessârelated subject.

Security Clearance
This role is subject to preâemployment screening in line with the UK Government's Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS).
