At Leonardo, we have a fantastic new opportunity for a Security Risk and Assurance Co-ordinator (Physical). Leonardo is a global high-tech company and one of the key players in Aerospace, Defence and Security. Reporting to the Physical Security Risk Assurance Manager, you will provide security advice related to Physical Security and will centrally collate, review and report on Physical and Personnel Security Risk and Threat intelligence for Leonardo. You will provide oversight, application and advice on security related policy and procedure, with further support to the creation of related process and procedures. As part of the assurance team you will conduct assessments on the compliance of the security function to internal senior functional management. Looking after employees’ well-being is a critical component of physical risk management, therefore you will contribute by collaborating with key stakeholders to identify, document, mitigate and monitor security threats and vulnerabilities related to risk within the UK business. This is a rewarding role with exposure across all Leonardo business divisions, the role will be based at the Edinburgh Leonardo site and will require occasional travel.
What you’ll do as a Physical Security Risk Assurance Co-ordinator:
- Support the Risk Assurance Management Team in all Physical, Personnel, Business and Operational security objectives where necessary, in a ‘hands-on’ and flexible style.
- Conduct internal assurance activities against the Leonardo Security Policy, Process and Procedures (Facility Security Clearance evidence submission applications / Internal Cryptographic Compliance Audits / Government Security Assessment Tool (GSAT) Assessment).
- Monitor the Business Security Function compliance in the delivery of security operations and report to the Leonardo Head of Security and the Security Committee (Objectives and Key Results (OKR’s), KPI’s and SLA’s).
- Support the development and utilisation of applications manage (analyse and report) security generated or related data (Sharepoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
- Analyse, monitor, interpret and report on Threat Intelligence relevant to Leonardo sites, employees and assets. Including conducting risk assessments on major external event security risks for business activities / events.
- Develop relationships with business functions, ensuring the appropriate level of security expertise is committed as a stakeholder within wider business operations. Provide comprehensive security related advice and guidance to the business (Including delivery of security briefs and awareness sessions, when necessary).
- Guide and support the Business Security function and wider business on matters relating to Security Threat Intelligence.
- Assist the development of the Threat Intelligence capability and associated mitigation's in line with Business Security strategic objectives.
- Contribute proactively to business planning for security requirements to support the delivery of current and future business.

- Experience of building relationships with customers, partners, suppliers and internal stakeholders at all levels and across diverse cultures.
- Ability to engage and influence key internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage internal and external issues to deliver the business outcomes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing priorities and deadlines.
- Experience in the practical application of security standards (Personnel Security, Physical Security or Travel Security).

Security Clearance: This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, this could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
