Salary Range: £37,318 - £53,550. Leonardo UK operates a grade-based salary framework with broad bands. The salary range shown reflects the approved grade band for this role, or a narrower hiring range published within that band, and is benchmarked against the external market. Exceptions above the standard range are managed through governance controls to protect internal equity.

At Leonardo UK, our Data Analysts work on complex datasets, support the design of robust analytical solutions and collaborate across disciplines to drive innovation and operational excellence. Your work at Leonardo UK will see you solving customer problems in an agile, innovative and team-centric manner. The role may involve a blended hybrid working model, with a mixture of working from home and working on site at one of our Leonardo offices to ensure close collaboration with the wider team and with our customers.
What you will do as a Data Analyst
- Support the delivery of end-to-end data analysis solutions, from data acquisition and preparation to insight generation.
- Support in designing the solution and proactively maintain dashboards, reports and automated workflows using dashboarding tools and data warehousing solutions, such as SQL.
- Apply analytical and statistical techniques to identify trends and inform decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security and quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects and business stakeholders to define data requirements and solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement and adopt emerging technologies to enhance data practices.
What you’ll bring
- Understanding of data lifecycle, governance and quality principles.
- Proficiency in data warehousing tools for data manipulation and analysis.
- Experience with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau) and reporting automation.
- Ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate insights effectively to diverse audiences.
- Problem-solving mindset with capability to work independently on moderately complex tasks.
Core Areas (must have):
- Experience implementing data modelling and dashboard design techniques to support future-proofed, portable reporting designs.
- Experience with data visualisation tools, such as PowerBI and Tableau.
- Knowledge of data modelling, validation and quality assurance.
- Experience with data warehousing solutions.
- Exposure to cloud-based or hybrid data environments.
- Understanding of security, privacy and ethical considerations in data use.
- Ability to manage own work packages and contribute to multi-disciplinary teams.
Desirable:
- Degree in STEM, Data Science, or related discipline; professional certifications in data analytics.
- Programming and data handling experience using Python.
- Exposure to requirements gathering process and best practice.
- Experience with Agile or DevOps ways of working.
- Interest in progressing toward senior or specialist data roles.
