Logistics Operative in Basildon

Salary Range: £28,594 - 32,000

Where this vacancy is being recruited across more than one grade, the successful candidate will be appointed to a specific assessed grade, and the applicable salary range will be that associated with the grade of appointment.

Your impact

At Leonardo, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Logistics Operative within the Integrated Sensing and Protection business in Basildon. As a Logistics Operative you will work as part of the stores team helping to ensure our manufacturing and customer support business have the materials they need, when they need them.

You will:

• Carry out a range of tasks including Goods Receipt, Picking, Stock relocation, repair receipt, packing, perpetual inventory checks, inter-site transport and general warehouse tasks as required.

What you’ll bring

The most important skill for this role is a good attitude, attention to detail and willingness to learn. You may have prior experience of working in a warehouse/stores environment processing incoming goods, accurately performing picking and put away tasks, packing deliverable items and maintaining inventory accuracy and batch traceability. Ideally you will also have experience in the use of SAP or other ERP/MRP system and can operate a Fork Truck and/or Reach truck. This is not an exhaustive list, and we are keen to hear from you even if you might not have experience in all the above. A full UK drivers Licence is required.

Security Clearance

This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, this could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
