Job Overview
At Leonardo UK Helicopter Division we are recruiting for an Advanced Diagnostics Manager to lead our multidisciplinary UK team. In this role you will use your technical knowledge of aircraft and systems to work strategically with Subject Matter Experts on our Health Usage and Monitoring System (HUMS) global vision, collaborating with other engineering disciplines to guide and support the fleet.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Advanced Diagnostics UK team; recruitment, team development, workload and budget planning.
- Work cross‑geographically with Advanced Diagnostic Systems (ADS) Italy: alignment meetings, knowledge sharing, collaboration and work transfers.
- Guide highly experienced specialists with domain knowledge in Health & Usage Monitoring System (HUMS) for UK‑led products (AW101, AW159, SL300, Proteus).
- Guide, inspire, support and nurture junior members of the team.
- Bring and develop the HUMS ‘global’ vision: grow the ‘Advanced’ within Advanced Diagnostic Systems, condition‑based maintenance, and provide input for mission management of unmanned platforms including Proteus/AW249.
Qualifications
- People Leadership experience within the aerospace industry.
- Awareness of HUMS.
- Experience in one or more of the following related disciplines:
- Structural or rotating system dynamics/vibration.
- Transmission design, in‑service support.
- Rotor design, in‑service support.
- Avionics design.
- R&M Product Support Engineering.
- Experience in: systems engineering, Power‑BI, SAP400 DOORS.
