Do you hold a significant senior military background with experience in stakeholder management? Are you looking to advance your career within the aerospace industry? At the Home of British Helicopters, we have a unique opportunity for a Vice President for Market Development, to foster key stakeholder relationships crucial to developing future capabilities and business positioning. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will lead UK Government Campaigns/liaison activities, which are strategically important to maximise business opportunities with the UK MOD. You will be pivotal to maintaining Leonardo Helicopters’ credibility as a future partner of choice. This role lends itself to hybrid working, with regular travel around the UK and occasionally overseas.
What you will do as a Vice President for Market Development:
- Own and lead the current Leonardo Helicopters UK (LHUK) /MoD Strategic Partnering Arrangement
- Be responsible for the Cross-UK Government & MoD Stakeholder Interface for LHUK
- Closely liaise with LHUK Government Affairs team
- Represent LHUK in Leonardo UK Business Development Council and associated activities
- Identify opportunities to secure Research & Innovation bids / grants
- Interface with Product Managers and Marketing to ensure understanding of any market trends/longer term customer requirements
- Provide advice and guidance to relevant campaigns across LHUK’s domestic and export markets, undertaking appropriate engagement with relevant stakeholders
What you will need:
- A level of seniority with extensive military background, including MoD exposure
- Experience in stakeholder management
- Experience of the rotary wing operating environment both at an operational and strategic level, encompassing crewed and uncrewed aircraft
- Strong communication skills at all levels
- Security Clearance: You must be eligible for full security clearance.
