Your Impact
Join a friendly and welcoming team who take pride in the work they do. As the Material Supply Officer in the Dynamic Composite Centre (DCC), you will manage the timely supply of material provisions. Reporting to the Material Planning including presentation of monthly performance measurements which may include Delivery Schedule Adherence, Turn Around Times, feedback on critical spares shortages and critical repair schemes, critical programme issues and Aircraft on Ground/High priority requirements.
Assist in the preparation of supplier burn down plans where required which benefit and demonstrate improvement in supplier performance to the business and customer. Discharge the requirements of the business, customer contracts and the needs of the customer. You will conduct root cause analysis for all performance shortfalls and process failures, and develop the supply chain organisation to ensure opportunities for change are identified and actioned appropriately.
Manage/facilitate and/or participate within multifunctional and multidisciplinary discussions within both the industry and supply chain environment. Provide vendor status reports and statistics with issues and actions identified as requested to do so. Receipt of service entries and attachment of approved documentation into SAP utilising DMS system. Co-ordinate the control of engineering change proposals, concessions and technical requests into the business and dealing with obsolescence issues as they arise. Action Quality Notifications (QNs) thereby resolving any non-conformances or quality related issues that are identified. Manage Invoice payments and discrepancies identified by supporting workflow systems. Work in accordance with Cost of sales and Regulatory/Legislative requirements.
What you’ll bring
- HNC level or equivalent, preferably in a business related subject, or will have previous experience of working within a material supply or manufacturing environment.
- Experience working across/within cross functional teams and have proven experience in managing key suppliers to achieve high levels of business satisfaction and confidence in their ability to meet business requirements.
- Ability to demonstrate agility in thinking in order to balance a significant number of variables before reaching an informed decision on supply issues.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to create and maintain effective working relationships at all levels within both the company and supplier organisations.
- Computer literate in company standard systems, including SAP.
- Able and willing to travel alone or as part of a team within the UK and overseas (minimal).
- Have and maintain a valid driving licence.
- Possess a knowledge of materials and inventory management.
