Overview

This role is part of the EW Line of Business within the Electronics Division of Leonardo. You do not need prior embedded, avionics, or defence systems experience; we embrace skilled people from all industries and will support the development of your skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (stand‑ups, planning, retrospectives and reviews/demos).
  • Be part of Program Increment planning.
  • Collate flow metrics.
  • Mentor, coach and teach engineers as an expert in scrum and agile best practices.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner and the development team to shape the product vision and roadmap.
  • Act as the Servant Leader for the development team.
  • Depending on experience, lead the Scrum Master Community and coach/mentor other Scrum Masters.
  • Present development team status at Agile Release Train sync meetings to the Release Train Engineer and other scrum teams.
  • Support the development team to develop skills, reach goals and improve daily.

Qualifications

  • Coaching and mentoring experience.
  • Knowledge of the SAFe framework.
  • Experience as a Scrum Master on a larger‑scale project.
  • Knowledge of flow framework and metrics.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Experience establishing high‑performing agile teams.

This role is subject to pre‑employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS).
