We are looking for a talented and passionate Project Manager at Leonardo in Luton, working in the EW Line of Business. Leonardo is a global high-tech company and one of the key players in Aerospace, Defence and Security. Headquartered in Italy, Leonardo has over 45,000 employees, of which 7,000 are based in the UK. This role is part of the EW Combat Air Line of Business within the Electronics Division of Leonardo. The Division designs, builds and manufactures complex electronic systems and services for the global defence market.
Your Impact
- You’ll join a team developing test solutions to support development projects as well as projects to modernise the current Production test equipment infrastructure.
- Project Management (circa £100m Development & Production Test and Upgrade projects).
- Managing the relationships with multiple stakeholders: UK MoD, BAES, EuroDASS Workshare Partners and Internal business departments.
- Ensuring the project strategies remain aligned with the overall programme strategy.
- Managing all procurement of development and production test platforms.
- Generation and presentation of multiple metric reports as requested by the business or the customer.
- Generating a SAP monthly CSR and presenting to the business.
- Ensuring accurate estimates for proposed work are provided and that sufficient contingency is applied.
- Ownership of the Project budget, monitoring the expenditures and costs throughout the financial year.
- Point of contact for the Purchaser, Customer and Workshare Partners.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience using project control methodologies and risk management.
- Proficient on SAP/Primavera Tool for planning and project management elements.
- Breadth of understanding in all parts of lifecycle and experience in some stages.
- Ability to influence internal stakeholders, using data and analysis to support line of reasoning.
- Typically meets the knowledge and experience competency levels of Project Manager (Entry) or PMO Officer as defined by the APM Competency Framework.

This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, this could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
