Role Overview
Leonardo UK seeks a Global Mobility Advisor to manage the full lifecycle of international assignments, ensuring compliance and a positive employee experience across immigration, social security, tax, payroll, healthcare and relocation services.
The role also supports UK inbound sponsor licence management and oversees International Travel and Frequent Business Visitor policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for day‑to‑day assignment questions from the business and assignees.
- Prepare assignment agreements and calculations.
- Handle payroll processing and related queries.
- Coordinate start and end of assignment actions with external vendors.
- Track assignment movements and maintain accurate assignee data.
- Support policy changes for expatriate, short‑term assignments, permanent transfers, remote work, etc.
- Ensure compliance with local and international laws, tax, social security and other regulatory requirements.
- Manage the end‑to‑end mobility lifecycle from pre‑assignment through repatriation or localisation.
- Provide timely reporting, data analysis and process improvement initiatives.
- Maintain knowledge of best practices and global mobility trends; participate in external conferences and seminars.
- Deliver advisory support across the business to create a positive relocation experience for employees and their families.
- Collaborate with the team on change‑management efforts for global mobility initiatives.
- Required Experience & Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in Global Mobility, UK Immigration or related fields.
- Strong relationship‑building skills and ability to establish credibility with stakeholders at all levels.
- Understanding of multicultural and diverse environments and sensitivity to the needs of assignees and families.
- Knowledge of global mobility strategy, policies and compliance frameworks.
- Experience working in an international or cross‑cultural setting.
- Sound judgement in handling sensitive and complex issues.
- Proven ability to work under pressure in a high‑volume, changing business environment.
- Confidence in asking questions, seeking knowledge and proactively developing skills.
- Analytical, numerate and process‑focused with strong planning, organisation and project‑management skills.
- Clear communication of complex information to non‑specialists.
- Security Clearance
This role requires pre‑employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS).
Additional National Security Vetting may apply, including Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
Location & Working Arrangements
Primary location: GB – Luton – Cap. Green 300. Hybrid working is available with an expectation of spending three days a week in the Luton office.
