Your impact

As a Tax Compliance Accountant you will report to the Senior Tax Manager, taking responsibility for supporting corporate tax compliance for the main UK legal entity and its subsidiaries including preparation of all aspects of the corporate tax compliance cycle and statutory reporting, liaising with other internal functions including finance, commercial, and external tax advisors. This position involves contacts across multiple divisions in the UK and Italy, including the Head Office Corporate Tax team and external advisors.

This is a hybrid role combining both onsite and remote working each week and can be based from either our Yeovil or Edinburgh site.

The key responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Collating information from the divisional SAP systems and carrying out detailed analysis for all corporate tax returns including UK, overseas branches, and Permanent Establishments.
  • Extraction and analysis of data used for the annual Research & Development Expenditure Credit (RDEC) and Patent Box claim for Leonardo UK Ltd and for organising meetings with partners in the business and with advisors.
  • Ensuring all Corporate Income Tax payments made on a timely basis for all jurisdictions and all posting of journals and reconciliations of the tax accounts is done in line with reporting deadlines.
  • Support the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions and input into Hyperion Financial Management.
  • Assist with preparation of documentation to support the Senior Accounting Officer requirements and support audit requests as required.
  • Assist in the provision of documentation and maintenance of the annual UK.
