Overview of the job description and responsibilities in the Operations Planning function for an Assistant Planning Manager who will report to the Line of Business Planning Manager. You will be onsite during training and after that there is an opportunity to work a couple of days from home.
The role of the Assistant Planning Manager (Development) is to support the Planning Manager and other Assistant Planning Managers, ensuring the integrity and achievability of the Master Production Schedule (MPS) delivers the Line of Business requirements through engagement with all key stakeholders.
- Work with the Planning Manager to ensure all (Plant and Project) Inventory is optimised, delivering reviews/changes on safety time/stock including managing Dead Stock process.
- Responsible for monitoring and managing demand variability for internal make and external supply items, maintain supply chain master data.
- Support the cleanup of Overdue Supply including LTP (Late to Place) requisitions while working with Procurement to achieve this through Demand management and key stakeholder engagement.
What you’ll bring:
- Support the Line of Business Planning Manager in developing into the role of Assistant Planning Manager.
- Work with the Planning Manager and other Assistant Planning Managers to support/maintain all aspects of existing MPS Demand Process including the transfer to, and manage thereafter, utilising the new SAP via “P6 process”.
- Learn all aspects of how to run the standard Planning reports, understanding the need for all the data provided, while supporting Project meetings.
- Maintain all process documents in relation to the SAP “P6” Go Live process delivering key stakeholder buy-in/compliance.
- Support Planning Managers to ensure the creation of one manufacturing plan delivering key stakeholder buy-in/compliance (Manufacturing Project Manager/Project Leader, Manufacturing Team Leader, Procurement and Project Managers) to ensure delivery of a robust plan for all MPS/MRP project deliverables from a manufacturing perspective.
- Support Planning Managers to ensure that the MPS and aggregated demand for relevant area including Firm projects and Prospects for the 3 month – 5 year window.
