Job Description
Are you an expert in diagnostic processes with a passion for driving excellence? As the Diagnostic, Reliability & Maintainability Manager, you will lead a team of dedicated professionals, providing mentorship and coordinating investigation activities to ensure the successful delivery against schedule, cost and quality.
Reporting to the Product Performance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Reliability, Availability and Maintainability assessments for Leonardo UK Helicopters.

What you will do as a Diagnostic, Reliability & Maintainability Manager:
As a Resource Manager:
- Develop and build a high performing team and collaborate with other senior leaders and colleagues
- Provide appropriate resources to deliver bids, projects and products
- Support recruitment, on-boarding, performance management, career management and succession planning for the team
- Lead the team to meet company expectations for productivity, cost of ownership, quality, continuous improvement and accomplishment of objectives
- Promote a culture of knowledge sharing and the application of lessons learned across reliability functions.
As the Reliability Maintainability Manager, responsible for:
- The establishment, standardisation and evolution of processes, procedures and tooling for Reliability and Maintainability Analysis.
- Managing and executing contracted work through the department.
- Planning and reporting project schedule, budget and milestone achievements.
- Ensuring agreed external R&M Standards and Regulatory Processes are followed within R&M analysis processes.
As the DST Manager, responsible for:
- Continuous improvement aspects in terms of data maintenance, extraction and exploitation techniques.
- Providing feedback to both internal and external data providers on issues of data quality and consistency.
- Providing quality control of future Data Exploitation system deliverables.
- Implementation and improvement of digital tools within the DST platform
What you’ll bring
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in a defence‑related aerospace environment is advantageous but not essential.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive alignment in complex, fast‑paced settings.
- Governance: Experience in developing and implementing structured governance or gated process o Project Management experience
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Word and Power BI.
- Education: Degree‑qualified in a relevant engineering discipline and/or formally trained or familiar Key Standards e.g. Mil‑Std‑1629A, MSG‑3, MoD Def‑Stan‑004.
Analytical Expertise: Strong background in Industry standard MSG‑3 Reliability and Maintainability analysis
