Are you ready to lead the integration of newly acquired businesses into Leonardo’s Cyber Division? Our Acquisition Integration Project Manager will be responsible for delivering a complex, high-value acquisition integration that supports our division's ambitious growth agenda and strengthens the secure software capabilities we can offer our customers. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping outcomes, influencing direction, and ensuring delivery excellence across multiple functions and stakeholders.
This role may involve a blended hybrid working model, with a mixture of working from home and working on site at our Leonardo offices to ensure close collaboration with the wider team and with our customers. This is initially a 9-12 month fixed-term contract with opportunity to go permanent, post integration.
What you will do as an Acquisition Integration Project Manager:
- Lead the delivery of the integration project, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, contractual obligations, and financial targets.
- Influence and manage senior internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful integration planning and execution.
- Oversee commercial negotiations and contractual change management in collaboration with Contract Managers.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with Finance, HR, IT, Operations, and Legal to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Lead project-level risk and opportunity management, including contingency planning.
- Inspire and empower integration teams, fostering high performance and accountability.
- Report progress to senior leadership and contribute to long-term strategic planning.
- Champion governance, process improvement, and knowledge sharing across integration projects and the wider business.
What you’ll bring:
- Recognised expertise in leading complex, multi-disciplinary projects or programmes, ideally involving M&A or business integration.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to influence at executive level.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Experience mentoring and developing project teams.
- Typically meets the APM Competency Framework at Project Manager (Advanced) or Programme Manager level.
Core Areas (must have):
- Proven leadership of complex, high-value projects across full lifecycle.
- Strategic stakeholder management and executive-level communication.
- Strong business acumen.
- Awareness of risk, governance, and performance management.
- Ability to shape strategic direction and drive continuous improvement.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Leonardo or the UK Defence Cyber Security Market.
- Experience in Mergers & Acquisition projects.
This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). You must also be eligible for National Security Vetting (NSV), which may include Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
