Job Description:
Your Impact
We are looking for a Chief Technology Officer for RF Systems to join our Radar and Advanced Targeting Capability Management team. Reporting to the VP Capability & CTO, you will be working across the whole business and with external stakeholders to ensure that we develop and access the right technologies and skills for the future of the business.
You will have the opportunity to define the internal advanced research programme, as well as helping to shape and align external research and technology development activities across academia, research frameworks and industrial partners. You will also work closely with the RF Capability team and the Head of External Stakeholder Engagement to identify and then ensure that these new and emerging technologies have a route to be embodied in attractive and competitive products in the marketplace.
What you will do as a Chief Technology Officer for RF Systems:

To define and monitor the progress of the internally funded Advanced Research programme, ensuring the technologies and skills are aligned with our product and technology roadmaps

Monitor the level of our technology and manufacturing capabilities, performing technology scouting and assessment of new, emerging or existing technologies

Engage with universities, SMEs, national and international government agencies and research frameworks to bring new technologies and skills into the business

Lead and coordinate initiatives to secure R&D funding from third parties

Foster a culture of open innovation across the business

Manage the Intellectual Property portfolio across our RF products & manufacturing capabilities
