As we continue to grow our Luton based Hardware teams, we are excited to be recruiting for a Production Support Engineer. These Engineers will be part of various teams within the EW sector to support many of our next generation electronic platforms. The successful candidates will be able to work within a team in a technically challenging environment in order to support product deliveries and returns.
What you’ll do as a Production Support Engineer:
- Carry out Serviceability Testing, Fault finding and repair on varied complex electronic products, including Defensive Aids Sub-System (DASS) systems and other Leonardo products.
- Routine calibration, general maintenance and experience with Automatic Test Equipment.
- Liaise daily with your Support Manager, and Integrated product team to understand the priorities for repair activities.
- Meet all the contractual and local requirements associated with Governance, SHE, Training and general good engineering practices.
- Fully document and record your work products; keeping them under configuration management, and providing plans and progress reports.
- Work within a multi-disciplined team of engineers to resolve technical issues.
You really must have:
- A Diploma level or above in an Electronics subject, or you may just have lots of skills and experience gained through your hard work.
- A team player possessing excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly motivated, with the aptitude to learn new skills whilst striving for excellence in engineering.
- Ability to work under broad direction, with minimal supervision, in challenging technical environments.
- Manage workload in pressurised environments, across multiple tasks, ensuring a quality output to meet the customer demands.
- Communicate technical solutions to both a technical and non-technical audience.
- Contribute and adapt to change and continuous improvement.
- Adopt an innovative approach.
- Travel to company sites for work and training.
It would be good if you had some of the following:
- Experience with Technical Diagnostic Test Equipment including MS Software Packages.
