Position Overview
Leonardo UK is looking for a Senior Offensive Security Consultant to lead, direct and continuously improve the Red Team capability within the Cyber & Security Solutions Division.
The role involves managing adversary simulation, purple team and penetration testing engagements, and delivering as part of a Red Team Delivery Cell to external customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver full‑spectrum adversarial simulation engagements in the public sector, covering all stages from initial access and physical intrusion to privilege escalation, report delivery, debrief and post‑technical replay.
- Research and develop TTPs; maintain and improve infrastructure design for hosting security tooling during engagements.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations, deployment procedures and troubleshooting guidelines; facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
- Manage cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) where security tools are deployed, optimizing resource utilisation and cost while adhering to security best practices.
- Provision and manage the infrastructure required to run security tools, ensuring high availability, scalability and reliability.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in suitable coding languages for OS/ Malware development (C, C# , Python, JS, Go, Rust).
- Strong technical skills in Initial Access, Physical Intrusion, EDR Bypass, Cloud Exploitation, Malware Development and related specialisms.
- Demonstrable experience delivering red‑team engagements.
- Relevant certifications: CCRT S, CCRT M, CTL, CTM, OSCP, OSEP, OSED, OSCE, RTO, RTO2, etc.
- Desirable: experience with MOD projects; deep understanding of MITRE and CAF frameworks for reporting.
- Security Clearance
Pre‑employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) will be required.
Additional National Security Vetting (NSV) controls apply, and Developed Vetting (DV) clearance must be obtained prior to starting.
Location
Hybrid role based in Bristol with frequent travel to customer locations.
