Leonardo UK is looking for a motivated, detail‑oriented Treasury Accountant to support the day‑to‑day treasury operations for a leading global aerospace, defence and security company.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily corporate cash, including forecasting, positioning and sweeping.
- Prepare month‑end cash actual files and update Hyperion.
- Verify and approve payments, working with initiators to ensure efficient processing.
- Resolve complex bank account, cash book and trial balance issues.
- Process and allocate cash entries via Piteco / SAP (receipts and payments) and via journal entries.
- Reconcile relevant bank accounts and loan accounts.
- Support other Treasury team members and deputise during leave or holidays.
- Process cash accruals and pre‑payments.
- Maintain governance and controls, ensuring correct application of accounting standards.
- Assist with external financial audit and internal audits.
- Collaborate with the Piteco consultant to ensure accurate reporting.
- Support additional Treasury activities such as cash receipt allocation, bank account administration, inter‑divisional loans, downloading and uploading bank statements in the Piteco TMS.
Qualifications
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience using accounting software such as SAP and Treasury Management Systems.
- Previous experience in finance, accountancy, treasury or banking, or a recognised accounting or treasury qualification.
- Well‑developed organisational and time‑management abilities, able to manage multiple priorities.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite.
- Sound understanding of financial processes, controls and accounting procedures.
- Collaborative team player capable of working independently and within a remote or hybrid environment.
- Proactive, adaptable approach with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Positive attitude and openness to learning, even if not all experience is present.
Security Clearance
This role requires pre‑employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). Additional National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, which may include the Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
