Job Description

Leonardo UK operates a grade-based salary framework with broad bands.

The salary range shown reflects the approved grade band for this role, or a narrower hiring range published within that band, and is benchmarked against the external market.

Exceptions above the standard range are managed through governance controls to protect internal equity.

Working arrangement: Hybrid - onsite and international travel.

Impact

As a Supply Chain Planning Manager on the Joint Avionics Service (JAS) Contract you will support the UK Typhoon Fleet on a main operating base in the UK.

You will provide operational focus and leadership to the supply chain team directly supporting the UK Typhoon Fleet and work with the wider Project team to deliver the JAS Contract.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strong leadership and ownership of the JAS Supply Chain area.
  • Day-to-day management of JAS supply chain team, workload, availability and tasking.
  • Manage training and performance requirements.
  • Interface with Workshare Partners (RADAR, DASS, LDO Italy) to set priorities and challenge deliverables and actions to best meet the JAS requirements.
  • Liaise with own work back office teams to ensure JAS priorities are kept on track and any issues are fully communicated and addressed.
  • Take full ownership of all supply chain activities including attendance at senior customer meetings and operational performance reviews.
  • Present accurate information and competent background knowledge for all ranges as required.
  • Support and liaise with JAS business community (PM, Proc, Comm).
  • Interface with BAEs, Leonardo and workshare partners commercial, logistics and trade compliance teams to lead the resolution of any export/import issues impacting delivery out of RAF Coningsby.

Qualifications

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a good attitude, willingness to learn, and experience or desire to grow in a complex environment.

This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS).
