Your Impact
- Assist in developing and maintaining fully resourced, multi‑level project schedules.
- Support the application of Project Controls processes, tools and governance in line with Leonardo standards.
- Help monitor project performance through basic metrics and reporting, including exposure to Earned Value techniques.
- Contribute to schedule updates, identifying potential risks, issues or conflicts.
- Learn how to apply resource scheduling techniques to support effective planning.
- Assist with simple “what‑if” analysis to support project decision‑making.
- Support the preparation of Project Controls inputs for project reviews (e.g. schedule reviews, PPRPs).
- Contribute to bid and project start‑up activities to help ensure good planning practices are established early.
You will gradually build your understanding of:
- Schedule management best practices.
- Risk and opportunity identification within project schedules.
- Project Controls tools, techniques and processes.
- How Project Controls supports delivery, decision‑making and project success.
What You’ll Bring
- A keen interest in Project Controls, project planning or project management, and a desire to build a career in this field.
- A basic understanding (or willingness to learn) of Project Planning and Control principles.
- Aware of planning techniques such as Work Breakdown Structures, scheduling or Earned Value Management (training will be provided).
- Some experience using planning or data tools (e.g. Excel, Primavera, SAP) or an eagerness to develop these skills.
- An understanding of project lifecycles, either through education, placements or early career experience.
- Good analytical and problem‑solving skills, with an interest in using data to support decisions.
- Strong communication skills and an ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn, with the ability to follow defined processes and work as part of a team.
- The motivation to work towards professional development, such as APMG Project Controls certification (support and training will be provided).
