Salary: £37,000 - £48,000. Leonardo UK operates a grade-based salary framework with broad bands. The salary range shown reflects the approved grade band for this role, or a narrower hiring range published within that band, and is benchmarked against the external market. Exceptions above the standard range are managed through governance controls to protect internal equity.

Your impact: Within Leonardo Air Customer Support Procurement team play a key role in delivering the procurement solutions for the Typhoon and Tornado programs and their in country IPT. You will collaborate with engineering, programme management, quality and suppliers to source and procure materials and services that are critical to delivering capability to our customers.

Deliver effective procurement support to Customer Support programmes by managing end to end procurement of materials and services. Collaborate effectively with IPTs, internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure programme requirements are met.

  • Manage the end to end procurement of materials and services to support Customer Support programs.
  • Source suppliers, obtain quotes and evaluate commercial offers.
  • Raise, manage and expedite Purchase Orders.
  • Build and manage effective supplier relationships, monitor performance and resolve supply issues.
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times and commercial terms.
  • Identify and escalate supply chain risks that could impact program delivery.
  • Act as a point of reference for PM and represent Procurement working closely with engineering, quality, PMs and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective procurement solutions.
  • Support the Procurement Manager in defining long-term sourcing strategies with suppliers.
  • Ensure the aggregation of requirements across all business areas in case of common suppliers.

You must have:

  • Awareness of Trade / Export Compliance.
  • Aerospace Manufacturing Experience.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Ability to influence.
  • Effective and flexible communication skills.
  • Proficient level of MS Office based IT skills.
  • SAP user experience.
