Would you like to be managing Engineering teams, delivering cutting‑edge UK‑sovereign LDEW technology and products in a world‑class product design and manufacturing environment? This is a unique opportunity to be accountable for Engineering delivery of a new High‑Power Fibre Amplifier (HPFA) product line into the marketplace boka, working with and managing highly‑skilled and experienced Engineering teams. This role also offers the opportunity to be involved in, and leading, continuous‑improvement initiatives across the wider Advanced Targeting business sector.

What you’ll bring
You really must have…
- extensive experience managing multi‑disciplinary engineering teams across a wide range of product life cycle stages (requirements, design, qualification, production, support)
- broad understanding and experience of managing Engineering product development process including product safety and product verification
- experience and personal effectiveness in collaborating with other business functions (Project Management, Procurement, Manufacturing) and technical specialists outside own domain
- experience and personal effectiveness working with external customers
- experience and excellence in people management and team leadership
- proven ability to adapt to changing circumstances and requirements
- a first‑degree STEM qualification or equivalent recognised by professional accreditation scheme
It would be great if you had…
- understanding and experience of formal problem‑solving techniques
- domain knowledge in electro‑optical systems or lasers
- experience as an independent reviewer or assessor for product design reviews
