β’ Department Manager or exceptional Duty Manager looking for their first HOD role
β’ Background in branded hotels or restaurants is preferred β so you will understand how we work and settle in quickly
β’ Excellent Customer service skills, standards driven, good organisational skills
β’ To be able to make decisions in a fast paced environment and to enjoy it
β’ To be great at up-selling β anticipating customer needs as well as improving the bottom line
β’ To be able to manage the team and resources available to ensure that the departments are equipped for service via cost controls, stock monitoring and good rota management
β’ To be able to communicate to and motivate your team providing day to day leadership and direction
β’ Be able to use computer systems β we use Opera, SAP and Micros. (for the occasional time you do get a desk)
Your responsibilities will be:
β’ Manage the daily operations of the Food and Beverage Department.
β’ To be out and about in the hotel, managing the day to day operation and ensuring exceptional guest service at peak times.
β’ To plan and ensure the hotel is ready for the days business β preparing for the morning meeting and sharing information with the team
β’ To ensure customer satisfaction through establishing and maintaining quality control standards for products & services offered to the customers. They will be checked by our mystery guest.
β’ Ensure the control of costs and productivity.
β’ Keeping the team up to date about departmental, hotel and company activities through daily communications
β’ Develop sales plan in line with annual budget, maximising sales through up selling, using incentives and promotions.
β’ Ensure prompt resolution of customer complaints and keep a close eye on customer feedback through Trip Advisor and other sites, taking on board feedback and making recommendations for changes.
β’ To lead and develop an energetic workforce, with involvement in recruitment, learning and development, team engagement initiatives and all other people management responsibilities.
