The Assistant M&E Operations Manager will support the strategic initiatives and objectives of the M&E department, as well as supervising day to day operations. All members of the department work together to create memorable moments for guests, in line with both company and hotel-specific service standards, and collaborate closely with other departments within the hotel.

You will act as an ambassador for your own hotel and the wider Leonardo Hotels estate, demonstrating the company vision, mission and values. At all times, you will treat others around you with respect, dignity and fairness. As Assistant Meetings and Events Manager you’ll be the backbone of the team as you’ll be working with your Head of Department to inspire and motivate your colleagues, ensuring that all guests have memorable experiences with us.

We set high standards for ourselves to surprise and delight our guests, so you’ll need to be passionately involved in the M&E department’s smooth running. This role requires flexibility to work morning, mid and late shifts, depending on business needs.

The role involves:

  • Leading the Meetings & Events team, ensuring rooms and event spaces are prepared to a high standard.
  • Coordinating with clients and internal departments.
  • Managing event requirements and last-minute changes.
  • Ensuring an excellent guest experience throughout each event.
  • Supporting the team during busy periods.
  • Conducting shift briefings and handovers.
  • Resolving operational issues and ensuring high standards of service, presentation and health & safety are consistently maintained.
  • Hands-on involvement in evening events, including dinner service.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous hospitality or events experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, customer-focused approach.
