Cluster AV Assistant (Apprenticeship) in London

Responsibilities

• Service all AV requirements as requested by clients through the hotel events team.
• Offer technical support to the venue's AV Manager and Events team.
• Ensure that all kit is set up neatly and to a high standard.
• Assist with support for multi-media broadcasting.
• Respond quickly to emergency/ad-hoc requests.
• Assist where possible with IT related enquiries during support; Escalate issues if required.
• Keep an on-ongoing stock check of equipment stored on site.
• Work with the hotel's operation staff to ensure each room has correctly set up AV equipment.
• Operate events as and when needed.

What we expect from you

• Be hard working and enthusiastic.
• Have hands‑on knowledge of technical equipment (including computers; we will train you to mix a sound desk).
• Knowledge and experience of the hotel conference industry (not essential but beneficial).
• Customer service skills.
• Be a good team player.
• Have good attention to detail and take pride in your own work.
• Good communication & time management skills.
• Be computer literate – good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
