Overview
In this role you will lead UK corporate tax compliance and reporting for the legal entity, coordinating with finance, commercial, and external advisors. You’ll oversee RDEC/Patent Box claims, transfer pricing, and group tax documentation, while ensuring timely payments and accurate statutory disclosures. The role involves interaction with multiple UK and Italy-based stakeholders and requires proactive tax advisory support for bids and projects. You will improve tax data processes and contribute to penalty-free audits and effective tax governance.

Responsibilities
- Lead preparation of corporate tax returns for the UK entity and overseas branches including PE reporting
- Manage RDEC/Patent Box claims with internal partners and external advisors
- Oversee Transfer Pricing documentation and annual TP report; maintain group TP arrangements
- Coordinate corporate tax payments across jurisdictions and support quarterly/annual tax provisions
- Draft tax disclosures in statutory accounts and respond to audits and inquiries
- Provide tax input for budgeting, forecasting, and Pillar Two/CFCR/CbCR reporting
- Liaise with tax authorities (e.g., HMRC) and internal stakeholders on technical issues
- Drive tax process automation and improve data collection and documentation of tax processes
- Provide specialist tax advice to other departments and support bids and business initiatives
Key requirements
- Fully qualified CTA, CA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent
- Experience in corporate tax in-house or at an accounting firm
- Good knowledge of UK tax rules; some international taxation experience preferred
- Analytical, detail-oriented with ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and influencing skills across diverse stakeholder groups
- Advanced Excel skills; SAP/ERP experience advantageous
