b Overview /b p In this role you will contribute to the design and integration of cutting-edge RF systems for radar products, supporting high-precision performance in demanding environments. You’ll join a world-class radar team at the Edinburgh or Newcastle site, collaborating across Systems, Test and Electronics engineers. You’ll shape the lifecycle of RF components from concept to production, delivering robust, configurable designs. This opportunity combines hands-on design with steady professional growth in a mission-critical industry. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li Generous leave with up to 12 flexi-days /li li Award-winning pension scheme with up to 15% employer contribution /li li Mental health support and financial advice /li li Free access to 4,000+ online courses via Coursera and LinkedIn Learning /li li Bonus scheme for eligible roles /li li Flexible benefits including private healthcare and gym memberships /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Develop multifunctional RF, PCB and Module designs using the latest technologies /li li Lead design reviews and thoroughly document work under configuration management /li li Produce UK-manufactured RF and Microwave designs on multilayer substrates using active and passive components /li li Support synthesisers, wideband up/down-converters and related RF/microwave subsystems /li li Derive module requirements from system design and verify with simulation and rapid prototyping /li li Collaborate with Systems, Test and Electronics engineers to solve integration challenges /li li Mentor placement students, graduates and junior engineers /li li Prepare technical documentation and participate in lifecycle management and reviews /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li 3+ years of RF circuit design and analysis experience /li li Strong understanding of microwave techniques and electromagnetic theory /li li Proficiency with RF analysis/simulation tools (Keysight ADS, AWR Microwave Office, CST Microwave Studio) /li li Hands-on RF/Microwave measurement experience (VNA, Spectrum Analyzers) /li li Awareness of requirements management tools (IBM Doors) /li li First or second degree in Electrical Electronic Engineering (or related) /li /ul ul li Willingness to learn and develop through a technical career path /li li Ownership and accountability for tasks /li li Collaborative mindset across cross-functional teams /li li RF and Microwave circuit design /li li Low phase noise design and measurement /li li GaAs/GaN MMIC design and applications /li /ul
