You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to investigate faults, implement upgrades, and improve tests and qualification processes. The role offers hands-on problem solving, autonomy, and opportunities to shape product sustainment and continuous improvement. You’ll be part of a growing Surveillance Radar group at the Edinburgh site, contributing to mission-critical systems. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li pension scheme with up to 15% employer contribution /li li hybrid working /li li flexible hours /li li up to 12 flexi-days per year /li li mental health support and wellbeing resources /li li free access to 4,000+ online courses (Coursera and LinkedIn Learning) /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Support production and sustainment of Osprey and Seaspray AESA radar products across multiple LRUs /li li Lead fault investigation, diagnostics and root-cause analysis /li li Implement design changes, product upgrades and obsolescence resolutions /li li Drive test improvement and qualification testing /li li Coordinate with Operations, Electronics, Mechanical, Systems, Software, Firmware, Test, Supply Chain, Quality and Project Management /li li Contribute to defect reduction and production ramp-up activities /li li Maintain close, proactive engagement with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and meet project needs /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li A degree, HND/HNC or equivalent in Electronics, Hardware Engineering, RF Engineering, Systems Engineering or related discipline /li li Experience solving technical problems using structured, evidence-based approaches /li li Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills /li li Ability to make sound engineering judgments in a timely manner /li li Practical understanding of complex hardware products, production testing, design verification, or product sustainment /li li Good communication skills and ability to work across engineering and non-engineering teams /li li Proactive, self-starting attitude and drive to see problems through to resolution /li li Security clearance eligibility (BPSS) and potential NSV/SC/DV suitability /li /ul ul li Pragmatic /li li Technically curious /li li Strong communication across teams /li li Radar, RF, microwave, high-speed digital, analogue electronics /li li Firmware, software or embedded systems interfaces /li li Automatic test equipment and production test systems /li /ul
