Overview

As a Principal Project Controller in the Bids and Proposals team, you will shape the project controls framework for high-visibility bids across Sectors.

You will drive planning work with cross-functional teams and embed best practices early in the lifecycle.

You’ll manage schedules in Primavera P6, support risk analysis, and prepare visualisations for reviews.

This role offers exposure to senior stakeholders and opportunities to influence large-scale bids and project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Work Breakdown Structure with the Project/Bid Manager and stakeholders
  • Facilitate planning workshops with work package owners
  • Create and maintain fit-for-purpose Primavera P6 schedules with activities, milestones, durations, logic and coding
  • Produce schedule extracts and visualisations for reviews and management
  • Support or perform Schedule Risk Analysis as required
  • Key requirements
  • Extensive project controls/planning experience across varying value and complexity projects (incl AGILE)
  • Expertise in Planning/ERP tools (Primavera P6 and/or SAP)
  • Experience across initiation, planning and execution phases
  • Strong collaboration, communication, planning, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Experience with Schedule Risk Analysis methodologies and recommendations
  • Commercial and financial acumen
  • APMG Project Controls Foundation and Practitioner Level Certification or eligible for training
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and engage stakeholders up to VP level
