A home with heart

Wharfedale House is a welcoming home for 18 adults with physical disabilities, located in the market town of Wetherby, West Yorkshire. Our residents benefit from a supportive, person-centred environment that prioritises independence and quality of life.

48 hours per week – Four 12-hour shifts per week, 4 days out of 7 (including weekends)

Shift pattern: 8am to 8.30pm

Enhanced pay: £1.00 per hour will apply to night working (8pm Monday – 7am Friday) and weekend working (8pm Friday – 7am Monday). This does not apply to Sleep-Ins.

About the role

• Lead with passion and enthusiasm, ensuring residents receive high-quality care and support
• Support customers with daily tasks and help them achieve their individual aspirations
• Promote independence through personalised care planning
• Supervise, coach, and motivate a team of Support Workers
• Work collaboratively with residents, families, and colleagues to provide excellent care

What helps you shine here

• NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or Level 4 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Previous supervisory experience in a care setting
• Flexibility to work within rostered hours and participate in an on-call rota
• Creative and proactive approach to supporting residents
