A home, not just a service

Newlands House, in the peaceful village of Netherseal in Derbyshire, supports up to 35 disabled adults to live their lives to the full. Close to beautiful parklands, you’re in the perfect location for tranquillity and peace. The dedicated staff team at Newlands includes nurses, physiotherapists and support workers. We are committed to supporting people to be independent, healthy, and active. We’re a relaxed, supportive, people-focused service where every day is different – from helping someone achieve a new personal goal to celebrating milestones together.

This is a full-time role on a fixed term contract of 6 months, with flexibility to work across weekdays and weekends as part of a rota. You’ll also take part in our on-call system to ensure the smooth running of the service.

Typical shifts may include:

  • Day shifts: 7.30am-7.30pm
  • On-call duties as part of the rota

We’ll work with you to agree a pattern that suits the needs of the service and you.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and inspire a team to deliver outstanding, person-centred care
  • Organise rotas and ensure the right staffing levels at all times
  • Support with training, development, and supervision of staff
  • Work alongside customers to achieve their goals and promote independence
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with policies and regulations
  • Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies
  • Step in to provide hands-on care and administer medication when needed
