A home with heart
As Deputy Manager Registered Nurse with Leonard Cheshire, you will support the Service Manager in running Newlands House, a residential home with nursing support in Swadlincote for up to 35 adults with disabilities. Youâll help the home run smoothly, make sure residents get highâquality, personâcentred care, and lead a team of nurses and care staff with confidence and care.
At Leonard Cheshire, we provide frontline care and support across care homes, nursing homes, and supported living services. This is a fullâtime role, working Monday â Friday 9am â 5pm, including the expectation of covering nursing shifts as required.
About the role
- Support the Service Manager and deputise in their absence
- Provide effective leadership, management, and supervision for a team of nurses and care staff
- Lead with passion and enthusiasm to ensure a wellârun, compliant, and personâcentred service
- Deliver high standards of nursing, clinical, and personal support
- Promote independence, choice, and positive outcomes for residents
- Ensure compliance with health and safety and all statutory obligations

What helps you shine here
- Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse
- A level of professional development and registration (may include Level 5 Leadership in Health and Social Care)
