Birnbeck re-enablement services will provide domiciliary care and support to tenants to live as independently as possible in the Nailsea area. \"We are amongst the highest rated providers of care and supported living services in the UK, with 87% of our services rated \'good\' by regulators.\" Are you an experienced care worker or would love to start a career in care?
Responsibilities
- Assistance with daily life tasks including personal care, medication and mealtimes.
- Escort and assist in and around the service, at external events and appointments.
- Support our Person Centred approach, encouraging maximum independence for our customers and helping to achieve individual aspirations.
- Maintain up to date and accurate records. Have good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Work flexibly and creatively with customers and their families.
- Ideally have personal care experience (not essential).
- Be able to work under pressure and as a team.
- Flexibility to work within rostered hours / prepared to participate in an on-call rota where required.

- Night enhancement of £1.50 per hour will apply from 8pm to 7am Monday - Sunday (this does not apply to sleep-ins).
- A weekend day enhancement of £2.00 per hour will be paid from 7am to 8pm, Saturday and Sunday.

- We are currently under consultation proposing a change to the enhancement rates paid. If the proposal is accepted, from 1 December 2025 new enhancement rates of £1.00 per hour will only apply to night working (8pm Monday to 7am Friday) and weekend working (8pm Friday - 7am Monday). This does not apply to Sleep-ins.
