Fryers House in Romsey supports 24 adults with physical disabilities and complex health needs. We provide high-quality, person-centred support with expert nursing care. Our home is made up of two fully wheelchair accessible buildings: the House and the Bungalow. We help everyone here to live their life as they choose. It’s a warm, friendly, and supportive environment where everyone works together to help each person live as independently as possible. Every day brings something different — new challenges, new achievements, and plenty of smiles.
Your working hours will include full-time hours, and you’ll need to be flexible to meet the needs of the service. Typical working patterns will include daytime hours: Monday - Friday 9.30am-5pm with occasional evening, weekend, and on-call responsibilities.

As Facilities Manager, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all ancillary services within our home — including activities, catering, maintenance, transport, and domestic services. You’ll lead by example, supporting your team to deliver high-quality, safe, and person-centred support that helps every individual thrive.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading, coaching, and developing staff across multiple service areas.
- Managing budgets and ensuring cost-effective, compliant delivery.
- Overseeing health & safety, maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensuring high standards in catering, domestic, and transport services.
- Supporting the delivery of engaging, inclusive activities for residents.
- Overseeing rostering, recruitment, and performance management.
- Building positive relationships with residents, families, and external partners.
- Promoting Leonard Cheshire’s values of positivity, pride, and pioneering spirit in all you do.
What helps you shine here:
- Experience supervising staff and managing services or facilities.
- Proven ability to work within and manage a budget.
- Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
- A good understanding of health & safety, safeguarding, and compliance.
- Experience working with people with disabilities (desirable).
- A full, clean driving licence (if driving is required).
