£14.70 per hour | Part Time – 30 Hours per Week | Appley Cliff – Shanklin | between the hours of 7:30 – 21:00 (6-hour shifts, alternating weekends)

Lead a dedicated care team and make a real difference. Are you an experienced care professional with strong leadership skills and a genuine passion for quality care? If so, we are looking for a Team Leader to oversee our care team, ensuring person-centred support and maintaining the highest standards of care delivery.

As a Team Leader with Leonard Cheshire, you will be part of a fantastic team dedicated to delivering person-centred care and support. You will help our customers live fulfilling lives, promoting independence and supporting their individual aspirations.

Your working hours: This is a part-time role of 30 hours per week. Shifts fall between 07:30 – 21:00 in 6-hour patterns, including one office day. The rota covers Monday to Sunday, working alternate weekends.

About the role: You will supervise and support a team of Support Workers, ensuring that residents receive high-quality care, personal support, and assistance with daily living tasks. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Manage medication administration and oversight
  • Leading with passion and enthusiasm, promoting positive outcomes for residents
  • Supporting residents to achieve individual aspirations and maximise independence
  • Supervising, coaching, and motivating a team of Support Workers
  • Working flexibly and creatively with residents and their families
  • Promoting a person-centred approach in all aspects of care

What helps you shine here: NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or Level 4 in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards a relevant qualification. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Experience supervising a team in a care setting. Flexibility to work within rostered hours and participate in an on-call rota. Proactive and creative approach to supporting residents.
