A home with heart
As Deputy Manager Registered Nurse with Leonard Cheshire, you will support the Service Manager in running Seven Rivers, a residential home with nursing support in Colchester for up to 29 adults with disabilities. You will help the home run smoothly, make sure residents get high-quality, person-centred care, and lead a team of nurses and care staff with confidence and care.
At Leonard Cheshire, we provide frontline care and support across care homes, nursing homes, and supported living services. Every day, we help over 1,600 people with disabilities live with independence, choice, and dignity.
This is a full-time role, working Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm, including the expectation of covering nursing shifts as required.
About the role
- Support the Service Manager and deputise in their absence
- Provide effective leadership, management, and supervision for a team of nurses and care staff
- Lead with passion and enthusiasm to ensure a well-run, compliant, and person-centred service
- Deliver high standards of nursing, clinical, and personal support
- Promote independence, choice, and positive outcomes for residents
- Ensure compliance with health and safety and all statutory obligations

- Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse

- Due to the rural location, you will need to have your own transport available.
