Join our vibrant team at Seven Springs: Make a difference in the lives of vulnerable people!
Full time, part time and occasional hours/bank available. Shift patterns are long days of 07:30am – 19:30pm, night shift 19:30pm – 07:30am , short days of 07:30am – 13:30pm and 13:30 – 19:30pm and twilight shift 18:00pm – 00:00am.
*A night enhancement of £1.50 per hour will apply from 8pm to 7am Monday – Sunday (this does not apply to sleep-ins). A weekend day enhancement of £2.00 per hour will be paid from 7am to 8pm, Saturday and Sunday.

Our service is located on the outskirts of Royal Tunbridge Wells in Kent where we actively involve its users in their local community, and they take part in a wide range of activities using local resources.

Care Assistant, Support Worker or similar experience is desirable but not essential. We offer an excellent training and induction programme for everyone!
As a Support Worker with Leonard Cheshire you will become part of a fantastic team. Every day is different, but here are just some of the duties you will do:

  • Assistance with daily life tasks including personal care, medication and mealtimes.
  • Escort and assist in and around the service, at external events and appointments.
  • Supporting our Person Centred approach, encouraging maximum independence for our customers and helping to achieve individual aspirations.
  • Maintain up to date and accurate records.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Work flexibly and creatively with customers and their families.
  • Ideally have personal care experience (not essential).
  • Be able to work under pressure and as a team.
  • Flexibility to work within rostered hours / prepared to participate in an on-call rota where required.

*We are currently under consultation proposing a change to the enhancement rates paid. If the proposal is accepted, from 1 December 2025 new enhancement rates of £1.00 per hour will only apply to night working (8pm Monday to 7am Friday) and weekend working (8pm Friday – 7am Monday). This does not apply to Sleep-ins.
